Great news folks. PAP can now reveal the details of a new exciting project aimed at empowering arts organisations in the ways of digital visual literacy.

The growth of digital visual technologies and the omnipresent internet as the principal form of mass communication presents us with immense opportunity to both create and express our identity and culture to a global, sentient community.

The aim of this project is to empower these organisations, and the individuals therein through the acquisition of key visual skills- both creative and technical – and the procedural wherewithal to transform the resultant images into a more dynamic web presence.

The program will conclude with a travelling exhibition and corresponding website.

If you are a member or administrator of a North West of Ireland based arts organisation and are interested in this creative partnership, do not hesitate to contact us asap as places are strictly limited.

PAP Appointed Image Provider for Exciting new Website

PAP has been appointed the official image provider for a new and exciting web based promotion and awareness project by local GAA club.

NaMagha, based in Derry city, carry the flag for the exhilarating, fast and stimulating game of Hurling. Ages from under 8 to senior, male and female train and compete on a weekly basis from the current base in Templemore Sports Complex, but the club are soon to relocate to their own purpose built pitch at Ballyarnett. The website is to be used to promote the clubs exploits, both locally and nationally and also to serve as an information conduit for training and social activities.

Digital Performance

PAP were delighted to be invited along to the inaugural Steve Dixon performance recently in the White Room Theatre, University of Ulster Magee campus.

Dixon, author of seminal new media performance manual “Digital Performance” manages to flawlessly combine real time performance with highly stylised and evocative large scale projections, all served on a bed of cutting edge, progressive sound. The result is thought provoking, challenging and deeply moving. Performance at the cutting edge of digital technologies.

The performance was the culmination of a frantic day long workshop attended by students of Drama, Dance and Creative Technologies.

Here are some pictures from the performance. All photographs are from the actual performance and were taken with available light. We have a New Home

Performance Art Photography have now taken up residence in Magazine Studios, Derry, a creative media incubation centre right in the heart of the city. Bang, slap, right in the centre of the creative quarter, Magazine Street presents all potential clients with numerous eateries, shops and of course handy parking, and all within touching distance of the Historic Derry Walls.

This new bright, shining, sparkly new home will serve as an administrative base for the company and with the excellent client facing amenities including meeting rooms and 40 seater boutique cinema a first rate viewing/ exhibition space.

A fully equipped creative media training room on the ground floor will allow us to further develop our innovative dynamic training programme – watch this space.

But most importantly there is a room on the top floor full of all sorts of technical wizardry that we are assured can even make a decent cup of tea or coffee.

So don’t delay. If you are serious about your digital future or just fancy a chat and a cuppa just drop in as we will be more than happy to see you.
